Faith Mission was founded on October 12, 1997 by the Reverend Marjorie A. Boston-Perienchief, an associate minister of the Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY.
Services were initially held at the Royal Regency Hotel, located at 165 Tuckahoe Road. Brother Donald Boston, the husband of Rev. Boston, was the first person to join the church.
Two years later, the lord provided a new home for Faith Mission, and to date, the church is located at 27 Tuckahoe Road , Yonkers, NY.
Reverend Marjorie Boston served as pastor of Faith Mission for 10 years. Through preaching, teaching, kindness and guidance, Rev. Boston led the Faith Mission congregation to higher heights and deeper depths in the lord.
In January of 2008, Rev. Boston retired from pastoral leadership of Faith Mission.
In February of 2008, Rev. Gay Tompson-Steele and Rev. Willis Steele became Pastors-Elect of Faith Mission.
On April 26th 2009, Rev. Gay Tompson-Steele and Rev. Willis Steele were installed as the new pastors by Rev. Dr. W.Franklyn. Richardson, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church.
Rev. Richardson also installed Faith Mission into the Grace family and renamed the church Faith Mission -Grace Baptist Church Yonkers.
For over 11years, Faith Mission has provided college scholarships, food for the hungry, Christmas gifts, counseling, book bags and back-to-school supplies to children and families in Runyon Heights and surrounding communities.
