Randy Daniels Tower- Grace Plaza II wins the prestigious
HOME Doorknocker Award

Release May 2011

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has awarded the Randy Daniels Tower- Grace Plaza II the prestigious HOME Doorknocker Award. Grace Plaza II is one of only four such projects in the country that are being honored this year by HUD.  The development provides 133-units affordable rental and commercial space in the Third Street corridor. Through creative financing and cooperation between the City and the development team, long-term affordability was achieved for 40 years.

This Award demonstrates the positive impact the Randy Daniels Towers – Grace Plaza II  has had on the Mount Vernon community; and just as importantly, on the tenants who now live in the building.

A local ceremony is scheduled at the Randy Daniels Towers- Grace Plaza II (20 East Third Street, Mount Vernon) for Wednesday, May 11, 2011 – 11:00am at which the award will be presented to the City, Grace Community Development Corporation and Mountco.
